Currently you can only export the end reactions to a report. It would be beneficial to be able to export the reactions at ever node (specifically to a text file) a long the wall for foundation design.
RAM SS- Remove deflection failure report for cambered beams
When the camber of a beam brings the deflection criteria within parameters, the option to turn off flagging them as failed in report would be greatly appreciated.
In a large job with several repetitive floors with cambered beams, there can be hun...
Apply different % composite rules for different members
We generally require a different minimum % composite for beams as opposed to girders. It would be beneficial to apply member specific rules, similar to how different deflection criteria is applied.
Allow construction grids to be converted to primary grids or provide new primary grid tools
Pretty self explanatory. Allow the user to convert a construction grid to a primary gird element. Grids are constantly changing throughout the design process due to requirements for columns to shift/etc. The tools for modifying primary grid system...
I am wondering if there has been any progress on implementing 50% unbalanced snow loads for cantilevers. In a forum post from 2020, Seth Guthrie said that it was on the backlog ( https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/f/ram-staad-forum...
Updating Cracked Factors in Ram Modeler should not delete wall design groups/section cuts/rebar assignments in RAM Concrete Wall
Currently, if the user sets up wall designs in Ram Concrete Wall, updating the cracked factor in RAM Modeler deletes all Concrete Wall groups/section cuts/rebar assignments/etc stating that "the geometry of the wall was updated." This gets extreme...
Please add an option in RAM Modeler > Layout > Foundations > Mat > Geometry to "Change Polygon". Currently, the only option is to "Modify Coordinates". It would be much faster to have a GUI that lets users snap to grid or construction ...
RAM concrete ignores out-of-plane shear stress less than 0.000050 ksi. Allow us to increase this threshold or ignore it entirely. I'm still getting walls flagged for 0.2 kips of out-of-plane shear in a 10' wide by 26" thick wall.
