In the Analysis -> Load Combinations we are able to view a member force envelope for the Max or Min, but not the absolute value for worst case loading. When looking at a braced frame elevation with brace axial loads, in order to determine the absolute worst loading we have to check both the max and min values. This absolute value should also still have it's appropriate sign convention so we know when the absolute value is a compressive or tension force.
It would be beneficial to view the absolute worst loading whether it be max compression or min tension on the same elevation. This help eliminate a step with printing an output and using Excel functions, creating duplicate reverse load combinations, etc. Having the absolute maximum force values in one brace elevation can make things more efficient for review, comparative model studies, sharing with trade partners, etc.
It would be useful for shear, too!
