There should be a feature in RAM Connection settings where you can go in and define defaults to all the variables for the project and for the program in general.
For example, if I am doing a project where I have a series of connections, and I know that my plates on the project will always be A572 Gr 50 and WF members will always be A992 Gr 50, then I should be able to define that somewhere so that when I assign a connection, it always uses those parameters.
It's exhausting designing 20 shear connections where I have to go through and one by one update the material grades. Similarly with bolt sizes, I should be able to define what typical bolt sizes I want to use (for example, 7/8" and 1 1/8") so that when I use the optimize feature, it will always default to those sizes.
I understand there is a feature to create custom templates, however this is not an intuitive feature and seems time consuming compared to the proposed solution I described above.
Another specific, but very important example of this is the default code. It only changes every several years, so we should be able to set it our applicable code and have the program open with that default every time.
