I have recently been requested to design a nonstandard profile splice joint. The profile consisted of double-up 200PFC. Unfortunately, RAM does not have this option. I had to take this task to the FEA and spend long time analysing connection. This was really tedious and awfully long process due to numerous layouts and therefore various splice forces/moments.
