Trim flange widths for beam to column-web (BCW) connections to create added connection strength.

Problem: Beam to column-web connections (BCW) create dimensional conflicts between beam flange width, and the space between column flanges. This often occurs when the bolt lines project and beam flange lines project inside of the web space and within the flange lines.

Solution: Provide options to trim flange-width dimensions on the beam. This is an option in addition to the dimensions for beam copes. Trimming flanges without coping leaves more beam steel for shear resistance.

Trimming flange widths would allow the beam to project within the flange lines of the web space for the column. This close projection would reduce the eccentric loads and moments on the connection.

Hello, so you require to reduce the beam flanges and not fully cope them, correct? Could you please provide a detail so we can consider this in the future.
