We request the ability to programmatically access, extract, and utilize the data generated in the Connection Design module of STAAD.Pro Advanced, as well as in RAM Connection, through OpenSTAAD, macros, Python or VBA scripts, or a dedicated API.

According to Bentley technical support, there is currently no interface between OpenSTAAD and the Connection Design or RAM Connection modules, which severely limits automation, integration, and quality control in projects that require extensive connection design.

This functionality would be particularly valuable for structural engineers aiming to:

• Automate connection data extraction for reporting and documentation.

• Integrate connection results into parametric or optimization workflows.

• Maintain traceability between the main structural model and detailed connection checks.

• Generate consistent outputs for BIM integration and QA/QC processes.
