Hello Renee, truss gusset connections support tubes and I shape sections for chords and for branches Single angle, double angles, I, Channels, double channels, T sections and tube shapes are supported for truss gusset connections.
Please make sure to use the TGB (Truss gusset branch) assignment button.
We are looking for a truss connection design that would allow the webs and vertical members within the truss to be single and/or double angles. Currently, it appears that the truss connections only permit tube shapes and only check using chapter K rather than allowing other shapes for web / vertical members and designing the gusset to chord connections, gusset design and web/vertical member to gusset design similar to a braced frame connection.
Hello, are your referring to angle to angle directly bolted or welded connections, correct? where the angle leg is directly bolted to another angle leg. Could you please add a sketch so we can plan accordingly. Thank you.
