Elements needs an analysis overhaul. I have a model with less than 1000 frame members and 200 load combinations. Several cases have imposed displacements and Elements mandates a P-Delta analysis for this situation. It takes 10 minutes to analyze and an hour to code check. I re-built this model in ETABS and it analyzes in less than 15 seconds and designs in less than 15 seconds.

I also have numerous older models that ran fine in previous versions of Elements, but now I have to tinker with the solver settings to get them to run. It's getting to the point where the program is only useful for simple beam analysis. Complicated structures need to be developed elsewhere.
