Y-Connection design for tubular TYK type connections

Enhancement submitted on behalf of Scott Armbrust. CS0051558 - PBI PRODUCT BACKLOG ITEM 1230244:

The attached hand calculations indicate the required fillet weld leg size at the heel of the Y-connection is 1/4", but the RAM Connection design only calls for 3/16". The 1/4" is based on SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW-G welding, with the latter two being typical for shop welding. I'm guessing RAM Connection is not accounting for the welding process being used, but it should be taken into account since it affects Zloss, (per AWS D1.1), and Zloss affects the required weld leg size.

The required leg size at the heel is also affected by the included angle between the chord and branch (see attached reference to D. Miller paper), and the same is true for the toe weld if the included angle is 60 degrees or more since the toe of the branch will not be beveled (see AWS D1.1:2015 Figure 9.10).
