My suggestion is to add a quick way to scale deflections in the deformed shape viewer.
Having to go through the menu is slow and not ideal!?
This would be best achieved through a hot key, e.g. Shift + D + scroll in to increase deflection scale quickly (and scroll out to decrease deflection scale) whilst you view the model?
Automatic scaling does work quite well, although there is certain situation's where changing the scale easily and quickly in real time (via hotkey) would be very valuable.
